SEMESTER 2
#1 1/30/2020
Starting the second semester we begin by working on and finishing the solider projects. The laser is constantly pumping out more and more cuts and it's difficult working with other houses to find open times. Everyone wants to finish their project on time and start new things and only having one printer makes it difficult because one house could possibly take it the entire period. We have some time left and it will eat into next week but its alright. We started to cover our wood prints with painters tape to make the burn look better. These are pretty good results in my opinion.

Now we continue to work on more solider projects. We have three teachers (Fitz, Miller, Shmitt) and we don't want to miss their set deadline. We've started covering the sanded down products with oils to make it darker and cleaner. I don't know if this is the best method for the laser and I want to try other things like epoxy glue covering and maybe other types of covers to make the wood look just a little better. There was some weird parts of these awards that I haven't seen in other products but the final result is pretty satisfactory to me. I think that the three houses that most commonly use the laser should ask for another one because then we wouldn't have to argue and get mad at each other for using the one.

Requirements: I need to do better this semester working in class because last semester I kinda let everyone down with my results. I think if I focus on getting master in certain fields like 3D printing, laser cutter, etc.. I think that I could make some simpler products. I don't know if I really like doing big products. I want to work on more things that are broken and that I can fix with the tools in the lab. Controllers, Screens, and maybe older consoles could be cool to fix up for people. I feel like that could take up a lot of time but it's something that interests me. I don't want the 8 job requirement to be something I'm over stressing on so getting it out of the way now could be really nice.
